Prayer Gathering for the Recovery and Well-Being of Begum Khaleda Zia

A Prayer gathering was organized by the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party (Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal), Australia Branch, on Sunday, 30 November 2025, at the Lakemba Library Hall in Sydney, seeking the quick recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The program was presided over by the Convener of the Australia Branch, Md Moshiur Rahman Tuhin, and conducted by Member-Secretary Jahidur Rahman.

The event was attended by Mohammad Rasedul Haque, International Affairs Secretary of the BNP Central Committee, as the chief guest. The keynote speech was delivered by Mohammad Omi Ferdous, International Affairs Secretary (with the rank of Joint Secretary) of the Central Committee of the Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal. Special remarks were made by the President of BNP Australia, A.F.M. Tawhidul Islam.

Speakers noted that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is currently passing through a critical and challenging period. She remains hospitalized in a severely ill condition, facing a battle between life and death. In the current crisis of Bangladesh, her leadership and presence are vital for the nation. They urged everyone to sincerely pray for her speedy recovery and good health.

The Munajat (prayer) was led by A.F.M. Tawhidul Islam, President of BNP Australia.
