This is the first visit by a top US government official to Taiwan in decades. Health Minister Alex Ezer is on a three-day visit to Taiwan. During the visit, he criticized China’s role in controlling the coronavirus epidemic.

On the same day, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao warned Taiwan, I would like to remind the Taiwanese authorities not to be obedient to others, not to rely on foreign support, and not to move towards independence; But then there will be no way back.
Taiwan has been autonomous since 1949. Despite the change of rulers, the territory never followed the path of declaration of independence. And China doesn’t want that either.
