The 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party was celebrated in Australia with great enthusiasm, organized by the Bangladesh Nationalist Youth Party, Australia.
The discussion meeting was presided over by Md. Jahangir Alam, President of Australia Jubo Dal, and conducted by Md. Faruk Hossain Khan, General Secretary.
The event was graced by Md. Rashedul Haque, International Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Central Executive Committee, as the Chief Guest. Md. Omi Ferdous, International Affairs Secretary of the Nationalist Volunteers Party (Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebok Dal) Central Committee, attended as the Special Guest.
The program began with the recitation from the Holy Quran and a special prayer (Doa) led by Treasurer K. M. Monjurul Haque.
Among others, A.F.M. Tawhidul Islam, President of BNP Australia, and Mohammad Haider Ali, General Secretary of BNP Australia, also delivered speeches. Greetings were conveyed by youth leader Md. Shariful Islam Shibli, while Md. Moshior Rahman Tuhin, President of Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteers Party, Australia, also addressed the gathering.
Prominent leaders present at the event included Md. Ashraful Islam (Vice President, BNP Australia), Md. Monjurul Alamgir (Treasurer), Md. Elias Kanchan Shahin (Senior Joint Secretary), Yasir Arafat Sabuj (Joint Secretary and Former President, Jubo Dal Australia), Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman (Office Secretary), Md Mofijal Islam Sagar (Assistant Office Secretary), Khaja Dawood Hossain (Assistant Treasurer), Mohammad Shofiul Alam (Shofiq) (Organizing Secretary), and Hasna Hena (Assistant Organizing Secretary).
Also present were Zahidur Rahman (Member Secretary, Nationalist Volunteers Party, Australia), Murad Hossain and Wares Mahmud (Joint Conveners), Md. Mithu Bepari (Convener, Nationalist Volunteers Party,NSW), Engineer Saiful Islam, Md. Alim, Md. Dipu, Md. Nafiz Ahmed, student leader Md. Rupon, and Khadija Akter Rupom.
Members and activists from across Australia also attended the celebration, including Md. Abu Bakkar, Md. Hannan Rana, Abida Sultana, Md. Khairul Amin, Sirajul Islam, Md. Kalam, Md. Simon, Md. Nurul Azim, Md. Limon, Md. Pavel, Md. Sabbir, Md. Sajjad, Md. Harun, Shishir Rahman, Md. Jahangir Hossain, Md. Aslam Khan, Md. Shahinur Rahman, and Md. Sajidur Rahman, among others.
In their speeches, the speakers paid tribute to the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, wished for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia, and urged everyone to support and vote for BNP candidates under the leadership of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to restore democracy in Bangladesh.
